The breed is a designer or hybrid dog, that was developed from crossing an Affenpinscher with a Norwich Terrier. Though the Affenwich is supposed to be 50% of each breed, many times they are from multi-generations, so are not exactly half and half. The small, fox like breed stands 10 to 12 inches tall and weighs 7 to 14 pounds. The Affenwich likes to be extremely close to humans and is very friendly and affectionate.

I have an Affenwich that was the result of a Norwich Terrier and Affenpincher "accident" in a breeders home. So glad it happened. Rudy shares the characteristics of both breeds but resembles the Norwich much more. A great, friendly, loyal dog who loves to bark at cats and varmints!
