he's growling beuscae your a member of HIS pack, he's not in YOUR pack. you need to change that.you need to teach him your not scard of him and its your houes he just lives there..i know it sounds heartless but its for the dogs sake. by not being scard of him i dont mean beat the crap out of him,i mean when he growls dont back down and walk away tell him no, if hes on your bed or sofa push him off(dont hurt him though) and if he wants back up he has to earn it ( or a trick or something ) when he's still being bad turn your back to him and ignore him after a while he'll understand your the new leader and things well start to get better..but this does not happen over night and it may all seem mean but its really not.give him his own room ( a crate ) so when he wants to be alone he can, when he is in there leave him alone and when you leave the houes put him in there.References :
