Huntaway

Average: 5 (1 vote)

The breed originated in the 1900s in New Zealand where selective breeding made for a sheep herding dog that used their bark instead of their bite. The loud and active Huntaway stands 20 to 24 inches tall and weighs 40 to 65 pounds. The breed is a working dog so a large amount of exercise is needed, and although they were bred to bark, they can be trained otherwise.
