Khalag Tazi
The breed is a variety of Afghan hound that was first introduced during the 1920s by a Scottish army officer who had a particular fondness for Khalag Tazi. The typical hound is an energetic hunter and guard dog found mainly in the steppes of southern Afghanistan, Pakistan and today's Iran. The large Khalag Tazi weighs 35 to 60 pounds.
