The Longhaired Whippet carries and shows the recessive gene of the standard Whippet, that allows the long hair instead of the usually short and shiny coat. The medium-sized sight hound weighs 20 to 30 pounds and stands 18 to 22 inches tall. The Longhaired Whippet is tender and loving towards its family, but still possesses their hound qualities.
