Longhaired Whippet

Average: 1 (1 vote)

The Longhaired Whippet carries and shows the recessive gene of the standard Whippet, that allows the long hair instead of the usually short and shiny coat. The medium-sized sight hound weighs 20 to 30 pounds and stands 18 to 22 inches tall. The Longhaired Whippet is tender and loving towards its family, but still possesses their hound qualities. Most notably, the Longhaired Whippet is a sprinter and can reach speeds of up to 35 miles per hour in a short sprint

I've either owned or foertsed all of the breeds you mentioned, and the single one that gave me any distress was a female Golden Retriever puppy. She was insanely overanxious. Other than that they were all fantastic dogs. Yes, these are quite common breeds, but it doesn't matter. So long as they're in a loving home and not in the kill shelters it's all excellent. If people ever tell you, your dog is too generic , tell them their face is generic. That usually shuts people up. And, if it makes you feel any better, I have Fantastic Danes. The single one with the traditional cropped ears is my four year ancient female, because she was a rescue and her ears were done when she came to us. People say stuff like, but they don't look like Fantastic Danes with persons floppy ears! about my two puppies. It's annoying. It's like, do you want to see their AKC papers with their championship pedigree?
