Perdiguero De Burgos

Average: 2.5 (2 votes)

This breed most likely developed on the Iberian Peninsula during the 1500s. Being one of the larger pointing breeds, it is thought that the Perdiguero De Burgos is the foundation for many larger pointer breeds. This very active hunting and gun breed weighs 50 to 70 pounds and stands 20 to 25 inches tall. The Perdiguero De Burgos needs a firm, confident master along with a large amount of exercise to keep the breed happy and nondestructive.
