Posavac Hound

The breed originated in the former Yugoslavia in the 1700s as an excellent scent hound. The small game hunting breed weighs 35 to 45 pounds and stands 17 to 23 inches tall. The Posavac Hound is very good with children and affectionate with the family. A large amount of exercise is needed if the breed is not being used for hunting, without enough exercise the breed will easily become high strung.
