Russian Spaniel

The Russian Spaniel is the youngest of the Russian gun dogs. It most likely originated from the cross breeding of English Springer and Cocker Spaniel, which have been mentioned as far back as 1891. The breed is small and sturdy; they stand 15 to 17 inches tall and weigh 28 to 40 pounds. The Russian Spaniel is very loving and free spirited. And though they make great gun dogs, they also make great companions because of their gentle nature and devotion to their owners.
