Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer

Average: 5 (2 votes)

The Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer was developed after World War II in Slovakia by cross breeding German Wirehaired Pointers, Weimaraners, and the Cesky Fousek to create a dog with great stamina that could easily track, point, and hunt in water or on land. The standard for the breed is in ratios, where the females must be 10:8 and the males 10:9. The Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer is keen to please, while being fun yet tough at the same time.
