Utonagan

Average: 3 (5 votes)

The breed is fairly new, beginning in the 1980s Alaskan Malamutes, Siberian Huskies and German Shepherds were selectively bred to produce a dog that closely resembles a wolf but still has a wonderful temperament. The large Utonagan weighs 55 to 110 pounds and stands 24 to 33 inches tall. The breed fits in well with the family and has a great liking for children and other pets. Also, being a pack dog, the Utonagan needs a large amount of human attention, if human attention cannot always be given another companion dog or dogs is necessary.
