Belgian Tervuren

Average: 4 (4 votes)

Beginning in the Industrial Age, Belgians developed a suitable dog for herding and guarding, the Belgian Tervuren. As industrialization began to decline, the dog became a great family companion. This tan and black colored breed does great as a guide or therapy dog for the disabled. Belgian Tervuren stand between 22 and 26 inches tall and weigh between 60 and 75 pounds.

Does anyone have a photo of a mix between a Tervuren and the all black Belgian? My neighbor has the black Belgian Sheep dog and I have a fawn & mahogany Tervuren. You can't register them with AKC but in Canada they will register the mix. Just curious to see what one looks like. I'm sure they would be great pets and some would no doubt look more like one side than the other although some would show both traits. Anyone have any personal experience with such a mix or any photos to share?
