Deutscher Wachtelhund

The breed dates back to the 1700s in Germany where they were used as a rugged, high-energy hunting breed. The medium-sized gun dog weighs 44 to 66 pounds and stands 17 to 21 inches tall. The Deutscher Wachtelhund is a natural born hunter, but still makes a great family companion when properly trained and exercised.
