The Drentsche Patrijshond breed first developed in the Netherlands during the 16th century, where they were used to hunt small game. Today it is one of the favorite gun dogs in its native country of Netherlands. The large, mostly white and brown/orange dog stands at 22 to 25 inches and its weight is in accordance with the height. The Drentsche Patrijshond is great with families and a suitable hunting companion.
