Grand Gascon Saintongeois

Average: 2 (1 vote)

After the French Revolution only three hounds remained that were cross bred with an old Hound of Saintonge and an old Bleu de Gascogne to produce the black and white ticked Grand Gascon Saintongeois we see today. The typical French hound weighs 66 to 71 pounds and stands 25 to 28 inches tall. The Grand Gascon Saintongeois adapts well to most environments but still needs a fair amount of exercise and attention from its masters to stay at peak health and happiness.
