Hare Indian dog

The breed was first introduced in Canada by the Hare tribe and other neighboring tribes where they used the Hare Indian Dog as a coursing dog, but with the invention of firearms the interbreeding of many types caused the pure-blood breed to go extinct. The breed is very similar to a coyote standing at 23 to 24 inches and weighing 55 to 120 pounds. The Hare Indian Dog was a vivid hunter, but was very accepting of humans, even rubbing their back against them like a cat to show admiration.
