Jack Russell

Average: 3.4 (12 votes)

First found in the mid-1800s, the Jack Russell was named after Reverend John Russell, who used the breed for small game hunting. Though small, the dog weighs between 14 and 18 pounds and stands at 10 to 15 inches tall. This breed is not recommended for non-experienced dog owners, for their unwanted behaviors may become overbearing if not taught otherwise.
