Jura Neiderlaufhund

The hound breed has been around since Roman times in Switzerland where the Jura Neiderlaufhund was used as a variety of Swiss running dogs. The small Swiss hound breed weighs 30 to 40 pounds and stands 13 to 16 inches tall. The Jura Neiderlaufhund is very friendly, strong, and reliable, making them excellent companions. Also, the breed is primarily a hunting/running breed so a rural setting is best where the dog can run and play easily.
