Karakachan Dog

The breed was brought over by ancient Bulgarians that migrated into what is now Afghanistan and Iran, bringing their dogs with them. The large, working guard dog stands 25 to 30 inches tall and weighs 88 to 125 pounds. The massive breed is not happy when not working, but they still become deeply attached to their master and family.
