Kishu

Average: 1 (1 vote)

The breed took on the name of its origins in the mountainous districts of Kishu, where they were used primarily as a boar hunter. The generally white, medium-sized Kishu stand 17 to 22 inches tall and weigh 30 to 60 pounds. The breed is extremely intelligent and tend to be a one person dog, though they feel a strong will to keep the family safe, often finding a high place to sit to look after everyone.
