Kraski Ovcar

Average: 5 (1 vote)

The breed most likely came from ancient nomadic pastoralists. They were mostly bred in Slovenia and Istria in Croatia and used for guarding livestock. The robust, medium-sized Kraski Ovcar weighs 55 to 92 pounds and stand 22 to 24 inches tall. The breed can be described as having a sharp temperament and extreme independence, but still does well as a companion when with family and a guardian when with the flocks.
