Montenegrin Mountain Hound

Average: 3 (2 votes)

The origin of the breed most likely developed form the cross breeding of the Slavic hound with Europe's scent hounds, where they would tirelessly hunt on any terrain. The well boned and muscular Montenegrin Mountain Hound stands 18 to 22 inches tall and weigh 44 to 55 pounds. This developed hunter is still very loving and affectionate with their master; although great house companions, the breed needs a fairly large amount of exercise.
