New Guinea Singing Dog

Average: 4 (1 vote)

In the 1950s Sir Edward Hallstrom brought the first pair of the wild New Guinea Singing Dogs to a zoo in Sydney, Australia. The singer breed is a type of wild dog native to new Guinea, most likely related to the dingo, but with a slightly different appearance. The New Guinea Singing Dog weighs 17 to 30 pounds and stands 14 to 18 inches tall. The breed is very rare and sightings are few and far between, it is thought that only around 200 species of the breed are left. The New Guinea Singing Dog is not a normal family pet due to their wild behaviors.
