Pomeranian

Average: 4.6 (17 votes)

The breed originally came from the region of Pomerania, which is modern day Germany and Poland. But in 1888 Queen Victoria fell in love with the breed and brought them back to England where their popularity rose dramatically. The small, but cocky Pomeranian stands at 7 to 12 inches and weighs between 3 and 7 pounds. This breed does not need much exercise, but requires much attention from their family.

My mother in law has two and my sister has one and they are cute but if you get on their bad side they are the meanest dogs I know! My pit bulls are afraid of them and my uncle's Labrador hates them! They are cute but very voicetress and feisty!

The thing is, allergies are indiaiduvl. While there are breeds known to be better for allergies, like the Bichon Frise, Maltese, Poodle, etc., that does not mean that someone cannot tolerate other breeds. What breeds you tolerate may not be tolerated by me. Your best bet is to spend some time with a Pomeranian and see how it affects you.If you don't tolerate them, look at some allergy friendly breeds. Please avoid mixes unless they are older. Just because a breed is mixed with a low allergy breed like a Poodle, does not mean they will inherit that low allergy trait. If you spend some time with an older mix, you should know then.
