Schillerstovare

The breed originated in the 19th century in Southern Germany where a mix of Swiss hounds and the Harrier produced this hunting dog. The large, active Schillerstovare weighs 40 to 55 pounds and stands 21 to 24 inches tall. The breed is very lively and energetic, and is the fastest of the Swedish hounds. The Schillerstovare needs a large amount of exercise and a fairly large place to live.
