Schnauzer

This breed is a German type dog that was named for their distinct muzzle or moustache, which is what Schnauzer means in the German language. They were normally used to catch rats and as guard dogs. These friendly and loving dogs stand at an average of 18 inches and weigh 26 to 37 pounds. Schnauzers are energetic and protective towards their household.
