Schweenie

The Schweenie is not a purebred breed, but a hybrid or designer dog that is the result of crossing a Dachshund with a Shih-Tzu. Because the popularity of multi-generation breeding has increased, it is not always guaranteed that the dog will be 50% of each parent breed. The average Schweenie weighs around 10 pounds, but they easily put on weight. The breed often has some difficulties with potty training, but since the Schweenie is mixed, their traits do vary. To most accurately determine the breed's traits, it is recommended to research the parent breeds.
