Silkese

The Silkese is not a purebred breed, but is a hybrid or designer dog that is the result of crossing a Maltese with a Silky Terrier. Since the breed is hybrid the name may sometimes be misleading, because it does not guarantee that the dog will be of 50/50 bloodlines, due to the popularity of multi-generation breeding. There is not much known about the new and rare breed, therefore to most accurately determine the breed's possible characteristics it is best to research the parent breeds.
