Volpino Italiano

The breed can be found throughout the ancient world but was originally from Italy as long as 5000 years ago. The small Spitz type breed weighs 9 to 12 pounds and also stands 9 to 12 inches tall. Despite the Volpino Italiano's small size, it was once kept as a guard dog but now is a prized lap dog for many different cultures.
