Welsh Springer Spaniel

Average: 3.5 (2 votes)

First seen during the Renaissance era, depicted on tapestries and popular among royals, the Welsh Springer Spaniel became almost extinct after the popularity of the English Springer Spaniel grew. The breed possesses a trademark striking red and white coat with minimal maintenance. The medium-sized working dogs stand at 16 to 19 inches tall and weigh 35 to 45 pounds. The Welsh Springer Spaniel is an excellent family and hunting companion.
