Beagle

In the 1500s, English hunters had bigger hounds hunt deer while the smaller hounds hunted rabbits, making them the first Beagles. According to AKC Registration Statistics, Beagles are among on of the most popular dogs in the United States, most famous of all being Snoopy from the comic strip Peanuts. Most tri-color breeds are between 13 and 16 inches tall and weigh 18 to 35 pounds. The gentle and merry disposition of the particular breed makes them one of the best pets.
