Border Collie

This black and white breed originated on the border between England and Scotland in the 19th century for stock handling, but was later popularized by Queen Victoria. Border Collies enjoy hard work. They stand 18 to 22 inches and weigh between 27 and 45 pounds, making them excellent workers. This highly energetic breed needs an owner that is ready to have fun, right along with the dog.
