Dunker
The breed is named after a Norwegian Wilhelm Dunker, who in the 19th century bred the dog for hunting hares by scent, instead of the normal sight. The friendly, relaxed breed stands at 18 to 22 inches and weighs 35 to 49 pounds. Though relatively unknown outside of Norway, the Dunker is the most popular and most used breed of scent hound.
