Finnish Lapphund

Average: 5 (1 vote)

The breed originated with the Sami people of the areas now known as Finland, Sweden, Russia, and Norway, where they were and still are an important part of reindeer herding. The intelligent and active Finnish Lapphund weighs 37 to 42 pounds and stands 18 to 20 inches tall. The breed is best suited for outdoor active families, while in Finland it is one of the two breeds permitted to live outdoors.
