Gran Mastin de Borinquen

The Gran Mastin de Borinquen is the only breed native to Puerto Rico where it developed from a blend of mastiffs and molossers during the 20th century. Little is known about the rare breed while the standard for Gran Mastin de Borinquen weight is 90 to 150 pounds and height at 22 to 28 inches. In history, the breed is most popular for being loyal, noble, and courageous; even dying to protect their masters.
