Griffon Fauve de Bretagne

No votes yet

The breed was most famously first used by Francais I to pack hunt wolves and wild boar. The breed almost went extinct during the 19th century due to the elimination of wolves but has brought back strong numbers today, where the Griffon Fauve de Bretagne is now a popular hunting dog in France. The breed has a distinctively rough coat and stands 19 to 22 inches tall and weighs approximately 44 pounds. The Griffon Fauve de Bretagne is sociable and loving but does best while on the hunt.
