Hamiltonstovare

The Hamiltonstovare was first developed in Sweden by crossing English hounds and harriers with some old German breeds. The hardy and healthy breed weighs 50 to 60 pounds and stands 18 to 23 inches tall. The Hamiltonstovare is not a pack hunter but does well in pairs to flush out prey towards the hunter. The breed does great as a family companion, but since they are hunters a large amount of exercise would be greatly appreciated.
