Lhasa Apso

The breed originated hundreds of years ago in the Himalayan Mountains to guard homes of nobility and monk monasteries. Known best for their beautiful cloak of hair that parts down the middle of the dog, the Lhasa Apso stands at 10 to 11 inches tall and weighs between 11 and 18 pounds. The breed is particularly good for adults and families with older children.
