Maremma Sheepdog

Most likely a descendant of the English sheepdogs, the Maremma Sheepdog is a classic flock guarding dog. This well balanced flock guarder stands at 23 to 28 inches and weighs 66 to 100 pounds. The breed is a terrible enemy for the wolf, but a great companion of humans.
