Miniature Schnauzer
This breed originated in Germany where it was named for the German word Schnauze, which means muzzle. The muzzle like appearance of the dog's face is very distinct. This robust breed stands at 12 to 14 inches and weighs between 10 and 15 pounds. The Miniature Schnauzer is ideal for apartment living, but daily exercise is necessary.

My Black Miniature Schnauzer, Ringo, has just said Goodbye on 20th November, in my arms.. He'd had Kidney disease since 2006, but was gradually getting worse, drinking a lot, towards the end. He was age 15+2 months, and had a wonderful life with us but we do still have a 2 year old Black & Silver.. Rebel.. who has his pal our Australian Silky.. Rambo.. We are considering another, a pepper & salt, but not until Spring. We miss Ringo very much... Once owned by a Schnauzer you stay owned by a Schnauzer...
I have one Schnauzer now and she is 12 yrs old and I am getting a puppy in the summer. I am trying to decide a name.
I too will be getting another puppy, as I said, in the summer, as I go to a Concert in London on June 2nd, overnight..so I'll be getting a boy when I return.. I have decided on a name, but until I see my puppy, then I'll know if the name is right..Remember, Helen, to get an eye certificate..Rebel weighs 14 pounds (my vet weighed him last week)
