Pyrenean Shepherd

The breed is thought to be very ancient, most likely developing along with the Cro-Magnon people who painted the caves at Lascaux. The breed evolved into a small herding and guarding breed of the Pyrenees Mountains, where they are still used today. The suburb athlete stands 15 to 21 inches tall and weighs 15 to 32 pounds. The Pyrenean Shepherd was designed to be a sheep dog so they are full of energy, making daily exercise a must. Also, the breed is a one person dog, often following around their owners wanting to help with anything and everything.
