Slovensky Kopov

The breed was first recognized in the 1870s in Bratislava where they were used as hunting dogs, not a pet or show dog. The typical, muscular hunting hounds weigh an average of 35 pounds and stand at an average height of 18 inches. Today, though thoroughly a hunter, the Slovensky Kopov associates well with the family and goes a great job at protecting any members of their family.
